SawPlate

The Swanstrom SawPlate is made from durable aluminum and provides a stable surface for positioning metal discs and flat stampings while improving ergonomics. A replaceable plastic bearing surface ensures smooth rotation of the clamp and your workpiece. Locking screws keep the plate, clamp, and material securely in place. This SawPlate is compatible with the GRS BenchMate system, Jayne Redmans bench pin system, Knew Concepts mounting and accessory plates, Garys Clamp, and any other 2.5 (63.5mm) diameter clamp (all sold separately).

Garys Clamp

Invented by Gary Hutchinson and manufactured by Swanstrom Tools, Garys Clamp features four movable fingers for securely holding stampings and flat pieces. Its round shape and adjustable fingers allow for easy rotation, making it ideal for working with various shapes. The steel clamping screws incorporate Delrin washers to prevent marring the workpiece when secured.

Usage Tips & Maintenance

• When cutting multiple discs of the same size, leave one clamp finger in position while removing finished discs to avoid frequent repositioning.
• Not all clamp fingers are necessary to secure a disc; unused fingers can be secured out of the way against the clamp wall.
• The clamp can hold other items for saw piercing, including coins or two discs at once for making earrings.
• Screws will overlap the edges of a disc or coin by approximately 2mm.
• A mounting bracket or dovetail mount is required to attach the SawPlate to your workbench.
